Rob became the Chairman of Silver Fern Farms in December 2013. He was elected to the Board in February 2008.

Silver Fern Farms is leading the New Zealand red meat industry forward with consumer-focused initiatives designed to ensure our farming businesses are sustainable, relevant and profitable into the future. It's great to be involved in this process and watching the strategy unfold as farmers and Silver Fern Farms progress down this path together.

Rob farms 9,250 stock units, 960 ha sheep and beef breeding and has a finishing unit in Manuka Gorge, South Otago. He is also a director of Farmlands Co-operative and is a chartered member of the Institute of Directors. Rob is a Graduate of Lincoln University, holding an M.Com in marketing and a B.Com (Ag) in Economics.
