Beef Stir-Fry in Bao Buns

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Silver Fern Farms Beef Stir-Fry
  • 2 Tbsp Korean miso
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1-2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 carrots, peeled
  • 2 red chillies, seeds removed
  • ¼ red cabbage
  • 8 Bao Buns
  • To garnish, daikon micro greens and shredded spring onions, toasted peanuts, crushed

Method

Remove Silver Fern Farms Beef Stir Fry from the fridge and packaging and allow to bloom at room temperature for 10 mins. 

Season with salt and pepper.

Mix Korean miso, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic, pepper. Stir in water.

Finely slice carrots into batons. Shred the chillies and red cabbage. 

Bring a wok or fry pan to a med-high heat. Add vegetable oil and coat the pan. Drop pieces of the beef in, toss around cook for 2 mins until browned. Remove beef, then add the miso mix and to the pan and bring to the boil. Return beef to the sauce and coat. When heated through remove from pan and allow to rest for 5 mins.

Steam Bao Buns according to packet instructions.

To serve, fill each bun with carrot, red cabbage and red chilli, top with beef and sauce. Garnish with daikon micro greens, shredded spring onion and toasted peanuts.
