Ingredients

  • 1 pack Silver Fern Farms Honest Beef Burgers with Smoky Caramelised Onion
  • 1 cup red cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 cup sauerkraut
  • 1 carrot, peeled and julienned
  • 1 firm pear, julienned
  • 4 Tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup Japanese mayonnaise
  • Avocado, finely sliced
  • Burger gherkins, sliced
  • Red onion, finely sliced
  • Burger sauce
  • Brioche burger buns, toasted
  • Beer battered fries, for serving

Method

Remove the Silver Fern Farms Honest Beef Burgers with Smoky Caramelised Onion from the fridge and packaging and allow to bloom at room temperature for 10 mins.

Meanwhile, combine the red cabbage, sauerkraut, carrot, and pear with the lemon juice and Japanese mayonnaise. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Set aside.

Bring a frying pan to med-high heat. Cook the burgers for 5 mins on one side, then turn them over and pierce with a sharp knife before cooking for a further 5 mins.

Assemble the burgers with a layer of slaw, burger, avocado slices, gherkins, red onion, and burger sauce.

Serve with beer battered fries and tomato sauce.
