Classic Beef with Rump Burger with Homemade Burger Sauce

Ingredients
  • 1 pack Silver Fern Farms PURE 97% Beef Burgers with Rump
  • 6 burger buns, toasted

Burger Sauce:

  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp gherkins, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp American mustard

To Serve

  • Cos lettuce leaves
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced 
  • 3 gherkins, sliced
  • 6 tomato  slices

Method

Remove Silver Fern Farms PURE 97% Beef Burgers with Rump from the freezer and packaging. Preheat BBQ or pan to high heat.

Combine burger sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Season to taste and set aside.

Reduce BBQ or pan to low-med heat. Add burgers and cook for 8 mins (5 mins if defrosted). Flip and pierce burgers to allow juices to run free. Cook for a further 4-6 mins (3-5 mins if defrosted).

To serve, spread burger sauce on the toasted bun bases. Add lettuce, red onion, gherkin, tomatoes and burger.

Spread additional burger sauce on the bun tops and place on top of the burgers.
