Industries Our Products Are Used In

Our Products

We take the quality and integrity of our healthcare ingredients seriously.

Using world-leading grass-fed farming systems means our farmers produce animals more naturally with little intervention. A diet of nutrient-rich grass results in high-quality healthcare ingredients.

Compared to grain-fed, grass-fed products:

  • Are naturally leaner, with less saturated fat and fewer calories.
  • Have higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids and a healthier omega-3 to omega-6 ratio.
  • Are higher in antioxidants, vitamin A and E, and conjugated linoleic acids.

NEW for 2025! Hydrolysed Ovine Collagen and Keratin

Using cutting edge innovation, our new hydrolysed ovine collagen has the added sustainability benefit of using sheep skins that would otherwise be lost to composting. A gentle enzyme hydrolysis process creates small-chain peptides at a size of (2-4 kD), ideal for penetrating skin and hair.

Our hydrolysed ovine keratin is made using natural wool produced from New Zealand farm-traceable, grass-fed, free-range sheep. Gentle enzyme hydrolysis creates peptides at a size of (0.5-2kD), ideal for penetrating hair follicles.

  • Available in both edible grade for nutraceutical use, and technical grade for use in skin, nail and hair-care manufacture.
  • Ovine keratin and collagens are closer in sequence to human collagen than marine sources, for better binding.
  • No preservatives, hormones, or allergens.
  • Not tested on animals.
  •  Manufactured and packed in New Zealand in a modern, approved facility, operating with a Risk Management Programme, overseen by MPI.
  • All New Zealand animal herds are recognised TSE-free (BSE and Scrapie).

National Animal Identification Tag (NAIT) Programme

Farmers

Farmers receive a NAIT number linking person and the location where animals are in their care.

Animals

Cattle and deer are tagged with Radio Frequency Identification Device (RFID) ear tags.

Register

Tagged animals are registered against a NAIT number online in the NAIT IT system.

Record

Animal movements between locations are recorded online in the NAIT IT system, providing traceability.
