Chief Customer Officer

Dave Courtney joined Silver Fern Farms in January 2021 as the Chief Customer Officer, responsible for leadership of the Sales and Marketing operations of the business. Before Silver Fern Farms he worked with Zespri International in a number of roles from 2011 to 2020, with his immediate role before finishing being Zespri’s Chief Grower and Alliance Officer.

Between 2007 and 2010, Dave worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the New Zealand Defence Force in communications roles. Prior to this he was a journalist in New Zealand – including for the Nelson Mail, Press and Sunday Star Times newspapers – and also for various publications in Australia and the United Kingdom.

Dave has a Masters in International Relations from Victoria University, Diploma in Journalism from Aoraki Polytechnic and a Bachelor of Arts from Waikato University.
