To Serve
Beef Eye Fillet Steaks in Spinach and Mushroom Sauce
Remove Silver Fern Farms Beef Eye Fillet Steaks from the fridge and packaging and allow to bloom at room temperature for 10 mins.
Meanwhile, to prepare the spinach and mushroom sauce, combine mushrooms, butter, cream, garlic, and wine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook for 10 mins until mushrooms have softened and creamy sauce has slightly reduced.
Coat beef with oil and season with salt and pepper.
Bring a cast iron skillet to a med-high heat. Cook beef for 3-4 mins each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat, cover loosely, and rest for 5 mins.
Return pan to heat and add Worcestershire sauce to deglaze the pan then add cream sauce.
Stir in spinach and Wild Fennel Co. seasoning. Cook for 5 mins, stirring occasionally to ensure it does not stick to the pan.
Slice beef across the grain and pour over sauce, serve with a warm crusty sourdough bread with butter.
King of all cuts and aged with care, our Beef Eye Fillet Steaks promise to be exquisitely tender and succulent
